God's Love

One day I asked God if he believed in love at first sight. "I believe in love before sight," he answered. How true that is. 

John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." 

God loves you. God loves me. In fact, God loves every single human being that ever existed, is existing now, and ever will exist. He doesn’t wait for every single person to come out of their mother’s womb to decide if he loves them or not; he just loves them unconditionally. I Samuel 16:7 says, "But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height . . .The Lord does not look at things man looks at. Mat looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’" 

Furthermore, God loves us so much that he gave up his one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we won’t have to suffer the punishment for them. How many of you wake up in the morning and think to yourself, "I think today I will go die the worst imaginable death in history to take the place of people I don’t even know"? I thought so. But Jesus Christ willingly died for every single person God made, and God willingly gave him up. That is awesome, especially considering the fact that most of the people that Jesus was dying for hadn’t even been born yet! And yet he still willingly gave himself up for us. 

Hebrews 12:2 says, "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." 

So the next time the devil tries to tell you that God doesn’t love you, you tell him this: "Now, devil, you listen to me. I am a child of God. My Father loved me before I was even born. He gave up his one and only Son to die on the cross for me because He loved me so much. I will not let you talk me out of the love that God has shown on me since before I came out of my mother’s womb! I AM LOVED!"
